Haar arbeidsintensieve werk is gebaseerd op traditionele technieken als touwweven en strovlechten. Ze werd opgeleid als tekenaar en schilder aan de <em>Escola de Artes Visuais do Parque Lage<\/em> in Rio de Janeiro en ontdekte later haar belangstelling voor filosofie en industrieel ontwerpen.<\/p>\n<p>Ze maakt zachte vormen met felgekleurde vezels van sisal en touw. Deze voegt ze dan samen tot grote werken; soms met behulp van kunstenaars en inheemse ambachtslieden. De objecten vullen vaak de gehele expositieruimte tot daarbuiten, of nog verder, tot in de omringende landschappen. De werken zijn vaak felgekleurd, cultureel en metaforisch rijk en suggereren dieren, planten, menselijke lichamen en landschappen, vari\u00ebrend van micro- tot macroscopisch.<\/p>\n<p>Sommige vormen keren regelmatig terug in Nepomuceno\u2019s werk, zoals vaten, kralen, bollen, buizen en hangmatten. Maar ook gevonden voorwerpen van uiteenlopende groottes worden in haar werken vervlochten. De spiraal is voor haar een centraal, vertrouwd en verenigd motief, omdat dit altijd dezelfde beweging maakt, maar toch altijd een nieuw pad inslaat.<\/p>\n<p>Tijdens de tweede editie van <a href=\"https:\/\/artzuid.nl\/en\/archive-artzuid\/artzuid-2011\/\">ARTZUID in 2011<\/a> was haar werk <em>Untitled<\/em>, gemaakt in datzelfde jaar, te zien. Ook hier aan elkaar geknoopte losse elementen, die op groeisels uit de tropische natuur lijken vol uitbundige bloemen in felle kleuren. Het kan gezien worden als een indirecte verwijzing naar de Zuid-Amerikaanse indianen, voor wie de hangmat geen associatie met luieren en vakantie heeft, maar een rituele betekenis heeft met dood, seks en geboorte.<\/p>\n<p>Nepomuceno had solotentoonstellingen in Noorwegen en Engeland.
