About Fiona Römpp
Fiona Römpp is a versatile artist. Her artistic practice focuses on exploring the relationship between space, objects and human interaction. She creates sculptures and installations that invite the viewer to reflect on the way we perceive and interact with our environment. In 2023, Römpp participated in the BUILD! project, an initiative of the Buitenstaanderfoundation for the Lage Weide business park in Utrecht. During this project, Römpp created the artwork Remme Ekkel, a water catcher in which nature slowly returns. It symbolises the greening and climate adaptation of the area. Römpp explains that rainwater slowly seeps through the artwork and causes the stone underneath to transform under the influence of the dripping water. In this way, she has integrated the unpredictable influence of time and the power of natural elements into her work. Her work was seen at ARTZUID 2025.
