Do you wish there was somewhere your child could go to get creative, make new friends, visit new places and learn something about art as well? Then sign them up for the ARTZUID ART CAMP, the art camp in Amsterdam!

  • For children aged between 6 and 12.
  • May holiday, summer holiday and autumn holiday.
  • A week of craft activities every day (9 am to 5 pm Monday to Friday).
  • Exhibition at 4 pm on Friday for friends and family!

During the ARTZUID ART CAMP, your child will spend five days working like a real artist, thus developing their creative skills. Walks, games and visits to the art collections of companies located in the Zuidas business district all give the children masses of inspiration and ideas for creating their own art. They will get to work with different materials and techniques. Your child will learn something new every day about the different ways of making art and will be able to experiment with different shapes, outlines, colours and surfaces. In short: we are going to have a great week!

If the ART CAMP cannot take place due to governmental measures, we will refund the full amount of the booking, or you can use the budget for a booking in the holidays later in the year.

  • Then we get to work on our first assignment or set off on an excursion.
  • At 12.30 pm we have lunch together and go outside to play or have a walk.
  • When we’ve finished playing we get to work on the second assignment or go on an excursion.
  • At 4 pm we tidy up together and then round off the day with a drink and a biscuit.
  • On Friday we decorate the room and get everything ready for a spectacular exhibition.

Good to know

  • The children will be supervised by an education coordinator and a team of enthusiastic assistants.
  • The ARTZUID ART CAMP is for children aged between 6 and 12.
  • The ART CAMP lasts for five days – Monday to Friday – from 9 am to 5 pm.
  • You can sign your child up for the May holiday, summer holiday and autumn holiday.
  • The programme will be sent to you a week before camp starts so that you can check out what your child will be doing during ART CAMP.
  • ARTZUID will provide lunch so your child does not need to bring its own lunch.
  • Make sure your child is wearing clothes that are OK to get messy.
  • On Friday your child will be allowed to take all its artworks home so be sure to bring a large bag or box along.
  • On Friday your child’s exhibition will start at 4 pm so you will need to arrive a little earlier than on the other days. Please feel free to bring along your friends, relatives, acquaintances and neighbours (friends, relatives, neighbours and anyone else you can think of)!

COVID-19 measures:

  • Children who are sick and/or have a fever cannot participate that day.
  • We receive the children at the front door downstairs. There they disinfect their hands with disinfectant hand gel. The supervisors walk with the children upstairs to the workshop.
  • We work with a teacher and 4 supervisors. The children work in 4 groups to maintain a safe crafts environment.
After the assignments, visits to the toilet and before lunch, the children always wash their hands and dry them with a roll of paper.
  • The supervisors keep a distance of 1.5 metres where possible. When helping with handicrafts, the older supervisors will wear a mouth mask if necessary.
  • If the final exhibition physically takes place on Friday at 16.00 hrs, we ask the families to wait downstairs until they are welcomed upstairs to the studio. Please remember to keep a distance of 1.5 metres from other families and supervisors at all times. The routing along the artworks is indicated with arrows.

The ART CAMP will be given in our children’s workshop at Prinses Irenestraat 19-2. This is the high building in the Beatrixpark next to Restaurant As.
